The Makiwara Large Sand Bag is a sand fillable, 3-section canvas Makiwara. When filled with sand via rear zipper access, the three sections become a firm striking target. Complete with 3 hanging hooks, the Makiwara is best hung against a solid wall to prevent any swinging upon striking.
Why train with a Makiwara?
A Makiwara is a padded striking post with origins from Okinawan. Used to strengthen and condition the knuckles by continuous striking, many styles of Karate use the makiwara.
